Calling all ballers and basketball fans! Family Promise of Central CT will be hosting our very own Basketball Tournament fundraiser at the Vale Sports Club on April 9-10, 2022.

Join us on April 9th for our Basketball Tournament! The teams are set and we will have basketball action starting at 9:30am. We will also be hosting a 50/50 raffle!

On April 10th, join us for “open gym.” If you want to play a pick-up game, practice your free throws, or play HORSE with your family come on down from 10am to 4pm. We will have a collection jar for donations for admission.

Who: Co-ed teams of 8-10 players. Players must be at least 18 years old.

When: April 9, 2022 9am to 5pm
Team Captain check in at 9 am. Games start at 9:30 am.

Format: Round-robin. Games are composed of two 20-minute halves.

Cost: $500 per team. Team registration includes a team T-shirt for each player to wear during games.

Spectators are free!

  • Is there an entrance fee for visitors/spectators?
    • Entrance is FREE!
  • What are the COVID-19 protocols for the 2022 Family Promise Basketball Tournament?
  • Can visitors make a donation to help prevent homelessness?
    • Yes!! Cash, Checks, or to pay using your smartphone we will have a QR code available at the event.
  • What are the food options?
    • Vale Sports Club has graciously allowed our friends from SoulFully Vegan to set up their food truck in the parking lot. The food truck will be selling delicious plant-based burgers, hot dogs, and fries.
    • Vale has a concession stand where snacks will be for sale. Outside food (except SoulFully Vegan) is not allowed within the premises.
  • What happened to the youth team option?
    • Unfortunately, there were not enough team registrations for the youth divisions. This will be a tournament for players 18 and up.
  • What is the prize for the winning teams?
    • Fun prize packs with snacks and Family Promise gear will be awarded along with a the registration cost refunded to the winning team
